THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VIRGINITY AND SEXUAL PURITY.

I know many are surprised to know why I used the topic “The difference between virginity and sexual purity” and I won't fail to tell you.

 I can be a virgin but I am not sexually pure, you can run a virginity test on me and I will score 120/100 but I am not sexually pure.

Now let's take a look at this two keyword - VIRGINITY and SEXUAL PURITY

Virginity is the state of a person who has never engaged in sexual intercourse or someone who is sexually inexperienced. It is also used to depict a person's state of never having had a penetrative Penis -in - vagina ( PIV) sex with another person and if in an academic setting, an accurate term to describe the first time one is having sex is a  "sexual debut". Virginity is simply the presence of hymen, yes I said that because ONE CAN BE A VIRGIN AND YET SEXUALLY ACTIVE.

When you kiss, cuddle, and caress that boy or girl and avoid penetration, it only makes you a virgin because your Hymen is present but you're not living a sexually pure life.

When you watch pornography, you're not living a sexually pure life.

When you're fantasizing over a person, nude, etc, you're not living a sexually pure life. Matthew 5:28.

Homosexuals can be termed virgins but aren't sexually pure. Ladies, some in a bid to say yes boldly when asked the question "Are you a virgin?" and still satisfy themselves resort to lesbianism. Let's not even talk about people who practice bestiality, having intercourse with animals. 

These set of people may be termed virgins but aren't sexually pure! Am I communicating?

 What is a biological marker for virginity?  The hymen which is a small fleshy covering that is believed to protect one's vagina from being exposed to the outside world and it differs in shape and size. At least we have a hymen to prove the virginity status of a lady although there are some exceptional cases but I can tell you for free that around the world there is no proven means to identify a man's virginity save his word and that is if he will tell you the truth on a platter of gold.

Sexual purity is a state where a person is pure in heart and body, given his/her self in totality to God in truth and in spirit, open and in secret. 

Sexual purity is the commitment to live according to God's standards for sex which is one man AFTER marriage and ONLY that man throughout marriage! Sex begins in the thoughts of man thereby rendering the mind the most powerful sex organ you can ever think of, hence sexual purity is freedom from anything that contaminates, pollutes or debase the mind.  

Have you no wonder why it was said of old that if a man sleeps with a woman it is adultery but Jesus made us understand and it became established that lusting after a lady  or a man is adultery?  Lust cannot thrive without the help of the eyes and mind working hand-in-hand ( I will see while you process).

Virginity is not purity but a parcel of sexual purity. Sexual purity is one way that God wants his own to be identified and distinguished from the crowd. It is all the actions I take in accordance to His word to put my need for sexual gratification under control.

Note that virginity terminates on the wedding night but sexual purity lives on.
