The Chronicle about CEDAR ET GAZELLE FOUNDATION.

Cedar et gazelle foundation is a Non - profit organization that was founded in Ibadan Nigeria, by miss surprise Elizabeth adetutu olawale in the year 2018. It's First project started in an orphanage home in ibadan (south-western part of Nigeria), where there were only kids from a month old to a year old.

In 2021, cedar et gazelle foundation went to another orphanage home in Uganda (located in eastern Africa), and started by feeding over 100 children. They didn't stop there, Cedar et gazelle foundation, went as far as sending school supplies and sharing the word of God to every one of the children. The Foundation made sure that every child under their care had their personal Bible.

Cedar et gazelle foundation was officially launched on the 23rd, of January 2022. The launching speech was given by its founder (miss surprise Elizabeth adetutu olawale) in one of the Mountain of fire church branch located in Chicago, (United States of America). Currently, the Foundation has been spread across countries such as NIGERIA, AMERICA, and UGANDA. Cedar et gazelle Foundation has been blessed with an Amazing team and board members called “DREAM TEAM” (the name “dream team” was given by the founder of the foundation). The dream team includes talented, zealous, passionate, and intelligent youths scattered across Nigeria, Benin Republic, Ukraine, and America. Their names include.

The dream team was carefully selected by cedar et gazelle founder (miss surprise Elizabeth adetutu olawale) and they all seem to be doing so well in their various fields. From the academic sector (from medical doctors to the medical field and to student doctors), entertainment sector, media space, business, and so on. They have succeeded in working together as a family to produce outstanding results over the past few months.

Cedar et gazelle foundation is coined from the word “CEDAR” and “GAZELLE”.

Cedar can be explained as a tree planted by God (psalms 104:16, Isaiah 41:19). It is considered to be the first of trees. (1kings 4:33). The Bible describes the cedar as strong and durable (Isaiah 9:10), gracefully and beautiful (psalm 80:10, Ezekiel 17:23), High and tall (Amos 2:9, Ezekiel 17:22), fragrant (songs of Solomons 4:11) and spreading wide (psalms 80:10-11) the eagle makes it nest and perches in the high branches of the cedar trees (Jeremiah 22:23, Ezekiel 17:3-5). Cedar also symbolizes prayer, healing, and protection.

Gazelle symbolizes swiftness in (1chronicles 13:8), lightness of foot and speed (2 Samuel 2:18, 1chronicles 12:8), beauty and elegance, due to its large black eyes. (Proverbs 5:19, songs of Solomon 4:5, 7:3).

One of the major highlights for the foundation this year is its trip to UGANDA 🇺🇬.

The community impact In Uganda is aimed at creating long lasting impact for the children and orphans in Uganda. This event is packed with different activities that are designed to create long lasting impacts such as building houses for these kids in form of hostel amongst others.

The project offers:

1. Free medical services to the people of Uganda.

2. Donations of school books, bibles, toiletries and toys.

3. Buying furnitures and appliances

4. Making a borehole and providing them with good water supplies. And many more.

The project needs about $20,000 for it to be a success and create long lasting impact in Uganda 🇺🇬.

Why Uganda?
55% of children 0 to 4 in Uganda live in poverty and 24% - or 1 in 5 – live in extreme poverty. 38% of children aged 6 to 17 in Uganda live in poverty and 18% live in extreme poverty. Child poverty rates are much higher in Northern Uganda, with the lowest rates in Central and Eastern regions.

The Child Poverty Reports look in detail at how our children are progressing, and place the issue of Child Poverty at the front and centre of the agenda. It makes the case that where children experience poverty, they will not be able to unleash their potential for themselves, their communities and our country as a whole.
First, and most importantly, the Report shows that for children poverty is about more than just income: it is about growing up with good healthcare, and education, a strong family and community environment. So while the data shows us that household income poverty is dropping substantially in the country, the question remains how are our children fairing?
The Child Poverty Reports look in depth at this question. Asking our children themselves directly about their experiences of poverty as well as developing an indicator – based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child – to measure Child Poverty in Uganda. The results show that over half of our young children (55%) live in multidimensional poverty, and are deprived in at least two crucial areas of their rights, and around 1 in 4 (24%) live in extreme poverty.

This is why cedar et gazelle foundation has taken it upon itself to provide adequate care, good medical supplies, school materials, houses in form of hostel, toiletries and many more, for the children in Uganda 🇺🇬.
God is really doing a great work in this Foundation and we are so grateful to have people like this around us who love God and his people.
